Exciting times ahead, Yay!!!

We will be coming together as a family on Sunday the 1st of August, 2021 to have church, a picnic and communion together in the park. It’ll be a time to celebrate God’s goodness over us all and to see one another and share fellowship – in person – after such a long time!

Come along with some food for “bring and share” though light refreshments will also be provided. Please also bring along some blankets, umbrellas (just in case the weather goes awry) and most of all come with a sense of anticipation to have fun as we share fellowship with our Father and Lord Jesus Christ, and with one another.

Promises to be an exciting time in God’s presence

Good Morning Church.

In the place of prayer, on the morning of Thursday 27th May 2021, the Lord laid it on our hearts to reach out to everyone and call a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY.

This is hereby an invitation to every member of -and individual affiliated with- Chapel of Life Church, to please honour this call and avail yourselves, 7-9pm on Friday 4th June, 2021.

The link for joining the assembly is below. Please share with as many as you possibly can; it is important that every one of you is present, and I trust you will all leave empowered, strengthened and encouraged.

I look forward to seeing you there with an expectant heart, as we gather together to hear what God has prepared for us, as the Body of Christ.

Shalom and God bless.

Faithfully yours,
Pastor O.

Dearly Beloved Saints,

This is Mental Health Awareness Week. From John’s third epistle-general, we know it is God’s will that we prosper spiritually and be in good health, even as our souls prosper. The soul, as we all know, is the seat of the intellect, the emotions and the will. It is also the battleground where the conflict rages between God’s spiritual ideals, and the destructive desires of the flesh.

Mental health challenges are much more prevalent than most people realise. They range from the mild and merely discomforting, to the totally debilitating. Causes vary from domestic, mental and physical abuse, to childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, disability, and identity and self-worth problems amongst other things.

Individuals, families, care-givers, and indeed the larger society all suffer when mental health issues assail anyone. There are a few steps we can take to ameliorate such situations.

Firstly, take proper care of yourself. You cannot look out or care for others if you are yourself unwell. An intimate personal relationship with Father Lord, a healthy work-life balance, exercise, adequate rest and sleep patterns, are all critical.

Secondly, educate yourself on mental health issues and seek professional help as soon as worrying symptoms show up in you or your loved ones.

Thirdly, remember that you are a child of God. This means that you are primarily a citizen who has been given the keys of His Kingdom. Behind most physical activities and occurrences there is a spiritual force at work. You have the authority of the name above every name, Jesus Christ, to hold demonic powers and activities in check. You also have the power of your effective and fervent prayers which make much power available.

Finally, you have the weapon that conquers all known problems, love. With the empathy and compassion of love, the kindness and meekness of its patience, the indomitability of its hope, the politeness and selflessness of its demeanour, you can help anyone you know, love or encounter to overcome mental health travails. You are called to be your brother’s keeper. So do all within your power to make life better for anyone around you with mental health challenges.

We pray the presence of God into all your lives and endeavour.

Shalom and God bless.

Omawumi and Carol Efueye
(Pastor & Mummy O)

What has God called you to do in 2021? What has He put in your hands to do it? He has given every one of us a gift and expects us to put it to good use.

The purpose of this concise Spiritual Health Check is to encourage you to consider what you’re carrying and how you can apply it to impact your own life, the lives of those around you and, ultimately, God’s Kingdom.

It’s never too late to start! Let’s write the vision and make it plain!

When we started out this year, little did we know of what was in store for us in the year. But our Father, the All-Knowing, All-Seeing God knew and He had gone ahead of us into the year to make provision not only for our safety and preserverance, but for our increase, growth and increased intimacy with Him.

As a church, we rejoice and celebrate God’s faithfulness to us in 2020. And we truly give Jesus Christ out Lord thanks for all He has done for us.

Our End of month fasting is here again, WHOOPY!

This month fasting and prayer starts on the 28th and runs through to the 30th of October 2020.

As always, you’re encourage to go the 3 days without food, beverages and fizzy drinks. But you can drink water, fruit juices and smoothies all through and as often as you like.

If you cannot manage to go the whole 3 days, then you can do a daily fast from 12:00am – 6:00pm.

Remember, whether fasting for 3 days non-stop or fasting daily, God is our strength and it is not a matter of works but of setting time aside to further relate with and be intimate with Christ. Whatever you do, make sure you spend time with Christ in His word, in praise, worship and adoration, and devote sometime listening to His words.

Those who wait on the Lord renew their strength. Be encouraged that as you wait, He will fill your heart with His love. He longs to reach out to you and embrace you.
